The 4 Loves September 29, 2006

To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken.

If you want to be sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one – not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safely in the casket or the coffin of your selfishness.

But, in that casket- safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, unredeemable.

The only place outside heaven where you can be safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love, is hell.

Today was Carlsberg day!

We went to the Carlsberg brewery today and alot of fun taking photos, getting awed, and getting drunk with the 2 free drinks we entitled to. We were nine people in total, and its always fun going places with alot of people! We took too many pictures, so im gonna have to picasa much of them to save you from getting eyesores. :)

cheers!DSC03114

Bestest buddies thus far.

So anyway, CARLSBERG BREWERY!

collagecollage1

Cute little vintage carlsberg vehicles and even cuter guys and gals. Haha.

Jerseys with me and helen.

Bottles and bottles and bottles of beer!!! This was just a part of the whole display. There were more than 15,000 bottles on the shelves!

Phwoar…

The babes!

And ummmm….

I wonder what this bucket is for.

Looks like a niao4 tong3 (Urinal bucket)…

-_-”

collage2collage3

There was a stage and i wanted to be AA, but decided against it.

Im too shy la.

HAHAHA.

Then proceeds with phototaking with the exhibits with jackies and priscilla.

Buckets of beer, anyone?

collage4collage6

To prove that its a brewery… Here’s a coupla of boring brewery pics for u.

Tuborg and Carlsberg – the two most common beers in Copenhagen.

DSC03037 DSC03095

Heehee!!!

This was sooo fun. We were trying to imitate the soccer goal poster at the left hand side.

Cant see helen, only her backside. But its muchos fun taking this picture!

Next pic, me trying to pull the cart.

*Mmmmf*

collage5

Oooh. They also had horse stables at the brewery!

The horses pull these great big carts which were packed with cartons of beer bottles.

Each cart weighs about 2000kg! Luckily the horsies are strong, and each of them about 900kg.

They are huuuuggge.

collage7collage8

The highlight of the evening!

Our entrance tix of 25dkk includes 2 complimentary drinks from the brewery bar!

My first one was a Tuborg Gold and it tastes Awesome…

Very unlike the bitter and sucky Tiger beer.

collage9 DSC03127

I tasted some of the other’s beers and i didnt like the one they said was made of apple. It tasted like shit.

I think Kay’s drink was the best.

Haha.

Fizzy Lemonade!!!

Kay is a good girl. She doesnt drink. :)

DSC03110 DSC03126

This dark drink tastes funny.

I still prefer Tuborg Gold!

DSC03128

Helen. Is. Very. drunk.

DSC03130.jpg

Jacky. Pseudo drunk.

DSC03133.jpg

Yong. Seems to be drunk.

DSC03132.jpg

Jackie, doesnt know the meaning of drunk.

DSC03135.jpg

Kay and Junne.

Happy that we’re not drunk.

Hahaha!

We’re good girls. Hee.

Obviously a tourist attraction, they have a little corner for the little artists in us to leave a mark in this place…

collage4-5.jpg

And i drew this…

For all of us!

(Plus a Singapore Flag with me and yong’s names)

Whee fun. :)

DSC03205.jpg

I just love the buildings in Europe.

~

collage20.jpg

And then we went to a park for walkie…

DSC03232.jpg

With a Windmill at the end of it!

Pretty place & lovely weather with -again- tons of Sunshine!

~

And behold…

The Turning Torso!

collage12-3.jpg

Stunning.

collage19-2.jpg

Isnt it a spectacular building?

In the past when i wanted to become an architect, i’ve often dreamt of me designing strange buildings like the turning torso. Haha well. *poof* goes the dream.

DSC03280-1.jpg

The guys were hungry, so while they were grabbing food i had nothing else to do but take photos.

Haha. :b

collage13-3.jpg

And then back into the Sun!

My buggies – who was getting bored being stowed away in my bag for so long - came out to say hello!

We walked along the west coast of the place near to the turning torso where we could see families strolling along the paths, tourists snap-a-snapping, and dog-trainers erm.. training their dogs.

collage15-3.jpg

The bridge connecting Copenhagen and Malmo!

And thats all of us who went, huddling together like a ball of dough.

4th pic: The girls!

~

collage18-2.jpg

That was for dinner!

Yummy beef steak with potatoes and red wine gravy.

And a glass of red wine to go with it of cos!

*pats tummy*

Loves Malmooo… Twas a fantastico day trip. :)

We were going to MALMO, in Sweden!

Malmo is only 30mins train ride away from Copenhagen. Its pretty convenient & confortable, and costs dkk 118 to get there~

Thank you Lord for blessing us with a beautiful world. :)
